About Dr. Enghelberg

Dr. Moises Enghelberg is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a specialization in medical retina. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Florida International University where he graduated with Honors. He earned a Masters in Science and his Medical Degree from Touro College of Medicine-New York. Dr. Enghelberg went on to complete his residency in ophthalmology at the Lake Erie College of Medicine in association with the Bay Pines Veterans Affairs Hospital in Miami and Clearwater, Florida. Thereafter, he completed a fellowship in medical retina and uveitis at the Loma Linda University Eye Institute and is concluding further studies in vitreoretinal surgery and medical diseases of the retina at the same institution.

Dr. Enghelberg is Board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists. Dr. Enghelberg has been involved in numerous research projects and actively lectures nationally and internationally. Dr. Enghelberg is an active educator and assistant professor of Ophthalmology at the Loma Linda University Eye Institute.

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Dr. Enghelberg is able to provide in-depth retinal care in Spanish. He enjoys literature and the arts in his free time as well as being an avid cook and traveler.
